Manners.
People with Asperger's may appear to be rude when they butt into people's conversations when they are talking to others. They don't mean to do this. See die to us having poor social skills. All we want to do is have what we want to say, heard. We don't intentionally be rude it's just that we come across as it. I do it on a regular basis when my dad is on the phone. If I want to ask him something I will just ask him the question when,he's on the phone and he has to tell me to stop as he is talking to a client.

Medication
I have been on atomoxetine for the past couple of weeks and the doctor said that it is good for me. True it is good for concentration but I have noticed that it is making me more angry all the time. So I have been conducting an experiment. I haven't taken it for a few days and although I don't concentrate too good it has improved my anger issues. So I don't believe that doctors should just prescribe medication In all cases. Not that I'm saying that it doesn't help it's just that it doesn't in my case.

Aspies triggers
An aspie can have many triggers. Mine personally make me get irritated but for other aspies this can be different. I deal with mine by knowing what they are and tying to avoid them. If I can't then I either grit my teeth or squeeze a stress ball. If this doesn't work then I usually just try my hardest to ignore it.

Coping with Aspergers
Some people with Aspergers self stimulate. This is called by some people stimming. I don't particularly like this word as it puts in mind the use of stimulants like steroids. But I digress. I don't know if I self stimulate myself as it is an unconscious thing that we do. Self stimulation can be anything from flapping your hands to spinning. There are many forms of self stimulation. The next blog will be about ADHD in Aspergers. Aspieblogger signing off.

Aspergers and the uncanny valley
The uncanny valley is a robotics term but applies to aspergers. Take a robot arm. You find it cute in a way. Then make it more humanoid and cartoonish. People like it because it is endearing and people know it isn't human. However if you (the autistic person) try to hard to fit in and be perfect then people can't put their finger on why they feel strange around you and dislike you or find you creepy. That is where you fall into the uncanny valley. Likable to a point but thought of as creepy when you try to hard to fit in. My secret is I don't bother to hide my quirkiness, why should I? If people can't accept me for who I am then that's their problem. Besides most people I talk to be it friends, family or strangers they ask if I have Autism. When I reply in the affirmative they tell me they thought so but they then say I can be likable but not creepy. So the secret is don't hide your quirkiness. Aspieblogger signing off.

Hello Aspie blogger again here to tell people what Aspie are like with change
I can deal with change if it is minor like bus route changes or menu changes if I am tokd in advance. You may think how can I be let know. In a bus there are notices and the menu changes are in places I frequent anyway and the owners know me and that I am autistic. Major changes however I cannot deal with. Like moving house or schools. This makes me feel nervous but excited at the same time because I don't know the people there but I can GET to know them. I also feel apprehensive because I don't know if people will like me. This makes me worry because I was bullied quite a lot at school and was ostracised by most people but my friends I have had since nursery. In highschool and even college I found it hard to make friends. Don't get me wrong when I am with my friends I am an outgoing funny loud guy but only with my friends. The good thing about then is they know I am autistic and stuck with me, whereas some other people may have stopped being friends with what they could consider weird because I had more interest in science than their interest of celebrities or sport. That doesn't interest me and I won't pretend to care about it either just to please them. After all non autistic people and autistic people alike are allowed their own opinion.
